Running 3-18-2003
I was feeling BLUE today so I went running. It had stormed earlier this afternoon and the air was cool and crisp i.e. 63 degrees. The perfect temperature for running, the sun had already made it's decent in the west and twilight was coming along fast. I started off a slow pace until I warmed up. By that time I had made it to the park. There were other joggers, walkers and dog walkers catching the last embers of warmth from the sun rays after such a dark and stormy pre-spring afternoon. March was roaring in like a lion as usual. I ran two and half laps around the lake and soccer fields. The ducks were sitting lazily by the lake unaffected by the passerbys - people and dogs on leashes. Everything was clean and cool and air was smelled fresh and was pollen free.
When I left park, the cars passing by all had their lights on, because dusk had arrived and cloud was fading from blue to gray to black. As I started the last mile of my run, I checked my time and noticed that I was ahead of my ususal pace. My breathing was not laborious, neither my quads, shins or ankles were sorel no cramps in my sides. It was turning out to be a great run....I usually have great runs about once every seven to eight days. As I was nearing the end of my route, I saw the large, full yellow moon rising in the evening sky. Once again the moon was chasing the sun across the night time sky never to catch her only able to drink the vapor trails of her departing each day.
It has been a good run...the setting sun and the rising moon...things will get better for their is new hope in each new day kissed by the sun and each new night hugged tenderly and lovingly by the moon....
